What is up with the pop-ups and re-directions? – MY FOX8 Review

I really like the Fox 8 app, and I've used it for years. Since the last update, though, I've been plagued by pop-up boxes and re-directions to random websites and various apps in the Apple app store, without my having done anything more than starting to read an article. It's quite frustrating. I may have to stop using the Fox 8 app at all of this continues. Update: The pop-ups have actually gotten worse. Now, there are loud, unexpected video ads that start as I'm reading articles or closing them. Bad move, Fox 8! I'm going to delete the app. Update February 2018: I had reinstalled the app and found a lot of improvements. I’ve used it for a long time this time, but there are still some “bugs”. There is a “ratings” link that leads you to send an email to tell how the app could be improved, but the email simply can’t be sent. The “send button” does nothing. I’ve added my reply here, since I’ve taken the time to type it, only to find that the company doesn’t care enough to provide a valid link to make suggestions. Here’s my response: Opening some articles leads to viral “YOU’VE WON A PRIZE” pop-ups that you cannot close in order to read the article. Also, some of the paid advertising is obscene. There was one ad box advertising something about enhancing “your Johnson” (yes, it used those words). I could really do without those, and I’ve actually deleted the app in the past due to similar issues. I’m seeing fewer pop-ups than before, but it really seems that there shouldn’t be ANY on a professional news app.
