Like the program, app needs improvement – Omada Review

I like the weight loss approach of the Omada program. Coach, accountability to weigh and track food, online lessons, etc. I am really disappointed in the app. It is not up to par with other weight loss /fitness apps and is not the most user friendly. I spend a lot of time and effort trying to figure out how to do stuff. For example, tracking food for a previous day. After unsuccessfully trying to select a previous day on the tracker, I go to the support pages which seem to be outdated. The information and screens do not match my app. Logging food is cumbersome and once you enter a meal, it seems you can’t go back and edit it. Frustrating experience. There are many good food trackers out there, such as Lose It, that are much more user friendly and easy to use. Another shortcoming is the activity tracker. Everything has to be added as steps. I was directed to a conversion webpage by the program that gave me “file not found”, so I searched online to find one. All of the conversion pages I found lacked activities I do. Most activity trackers today, such as Lose It, will allow you to search a comprehensive list of activities, enter the time, and convert it and adjust the daily calorie intake accordingly. The Omada program has the right idea, but I think it would be better if they aligned themselves with another company to incorporate their app into the Omada program. For now, I think I will use the Lose It app for all my tracking, and the Omada app for lessons and communication with my team and coach.
