“Oops” Your app is an embarrassment – Patreon Review

Literally every time I’ve ever launched this app I get a pop up (that keeps popping up usually about 6 times) that says “oops you have to log in again” which is infuriating. This app is so messed up I can barely talk about functionality because I cant get that far into it. The few times I have logged in properly I found it to be entirely useless. As a creator interactions with the app and my supporters is painful at best. But hey, now they’ve added a terrible instagram knockoff function that’s sure to entertain the ones to tens of people who also use the app... and see my content in the *one hour* it’s live for. Seriously? This is how Patreon spends its development time? If this were one of my students high school programming assignments I’d fail them. Between desperate cash grab policy changes and shockingly lackluster development I’m wondering if patreon has finally just given up “supporting creators” and gone full heartless Silicon Valley startup. It’s like they’re actively trying to do things that no one wants instead of fixing the things we all use.
