Super-duper fun but I have one question... – Fruit Ninja® Review

Hi halfbrick studios. I love fruit ninja, thank you vary much for making this game. But I have a problem... my brother loves fruit ninja to, so he downloaded it. I haven’t seen him play it but I saw it on his iPad once, and the logo was gold and red and on it said “5th anniversary”. I took a look at it and I really wanted to try out the festival event. But the day before, I had updated my fruit ninja and nothing was different. I checked the AppStore for new updates but there wasn’t any. I’m a little confused about why he has the anniversary version and not me. Is it a old update that he still has because he hasn’t updated again? Thank you very much for listening.
