6mos of use, still not sure – M1: Investing & Banking Review

This platform utilizes what it calls ‘pies’ to invest your money. You can setup a pie with as many as 100 stocks, etf, etc. Then divide your distribution to the those stocks in any percentage you desire. M1 utilizes dollar cost averaging as well as drips which is a pretty decent way to invest for beginners. However, setting up more than one pie is an agonizing process. You have to create another account/portfolio, then fund the account by setting up your bank a second time. You then have to wait another day or so for the the account to be funded. This is too complicated a process to what is essentially just buying another stock separately from your other pie.
