Can't link multiple phones to same Kroger plus card? – Kroger Review

The app seems to suggest that each user needs to link to their own unique plus card. Within the same family, why would that be considered ideal? Everyone in the family who might shop at Kroger should be linked to the same card. Am I missing something?
