First it was LEGO Boost and now this!?! – LEGO® AR Studio Review

When it comes to physical LEGO bricks, LEGO knows what they’re doing, but I can’t fathom how a multi billion dollar company has so many issues with developing iOS apps aside from games. I had bought my son the LEGO Boost set and out of the box it didn’t work b/c the toy fully relies on the app, and the app was broken (it took three weeks or so for an update to fix). Now my son and I are all excited about this app and it too doesn’t work. Thankfully I didn’t spend $150 bucks this time around. That’s great that some people are enjoying it, but it appears that there was a software update that broke the app and it has since gotten stuck on the “find the gold bricks” screen. What blows my mind is how long LEGO has had this app in production (it was featured when iOS 11 and AR Kit were introduced), and if it was simply a change in code that broke it, then one would think that it would be relatively easy for a multi billion dollar company who surely has several developers working on their stuff to find it and fix it with relative ease. All I’m gonna say is LEGO - if the same dude/s that developed the Boost app developed this one, its time to let them go.
