Am I Doing Something Wrong? ? – Offtop: Music Recording Studio Review

I recently downloaded this app & I have been writing to alot of the beats here, but for some reason each time I try to record my voice over the beats it never works out....Like I used apple headphones & even went to Best Buy & purchased some Sony headphones & for some reason it Still doesn’t let me record my voice... I really enjoy the beats on this app as well as the wide variety of beats to choose from, but I would just like to know what can I do differently to avoid this problem....Any feedback would be greatly appreciated Thanks
