Bah-humbug this year! – Christmas Mansion 3 Review

My review a for Christmas Mansion a year or so ago was 4 Stars. After a brief respite I returned, and am sorry to report that Christmas mansion has turned Scrooge on several accounts. First and foremost, I didn’t recall the purchase prices for diamonds being so absurd. At its lowest purchase offer - .99 - what you get is not enough to refill lives even once, thus forcing consideration of the next offer which makes a giant leap to $4.99. For $4.99 one gets around 2 -3 refills on lives. HOWEVER, most or all power ups will need to be handed over along with that $4.99 in order to advance. Lightening speed losses on near impossible tasks will ensue because like Tiny Tim, you were weak and gave in. Second, no significant updates/ improvements have been made in the way of game enhancement and performance and makes Christmas Mansion appear all the more greedy with regard to its in app purchases. As it is, the decorations earned are the same stale and stagnant ones as 2 years ago which by the way, still can’t be rearranged or manipulated like Fishdom decorations can. Furthermore, Christmas Mansion doesn’t provide for a new event, a daily bonus of some sort, etc. like most all other in app purchase games do. Nope, every time Christmas Mansion is opened one can expect another lame task from that lone elf against the backdrop of a rather stagnant lifeless village. Bottom line of this year’s review: Christmas mansion quickly becomes boring and bothersome by comparison in that once your lives and pocketbook are depleted, only two rather unappealing choices are available - wait for much time to pass for lives to refill in hopes that Christmas Mansion has given up on you making another foolish purchase and allows you advancement or DELETE THE GAME in hopes that in a few months or so you will find real updates/ improvements have been made. Bah-humbug!
