Two steps forward one step back – Simple Control Home Remote Review

Good: Been a user since it was Roomie Remote and I like the new interface, improved AppleTV support, and HomeKit integration, which has been a long time coming. I can now fully dedicate an iPad as a remote control, leave it on guided access and control my home theater and the lights throughout the house. Meh: Still kinda unintuitive to set up, and synchronizing between multiple devices is still a trial and error process. Bad: tears through the battery like it was going out of style on two iPads (pro and a mini 2) and an iPhone 6S Plus. Battery on iPad mini 2 running Simple Control on Guided Access, sitting there doing nothing, won’t last a day.
