Horrible customer service!! – Hotwire: Last Minute Hotels Review

I tried to book a room 2.5 hours away from home for the same night, but received an error saying that the deal was gone. I checked with my credit card company, and a $167 pending payment was showing from Hotwire. I called Hotwire to find out if I had a reservation, and was told me that I didn’t. I talked to 3 people in hopes that they could assist me in getting a room for the night. They kept telling me that they didn’t have a room similar to the room I tried to book. I requested that they release my pending charges, and was told it could take up to 24 hours. At this point, I had been on the phone with Hotwire for over an hour, and it was too late to make the trip. After insisting to talk to a supervisor, I finally got someone to help me resolve the pending charges. Hotwire never apologized, and did nothing to make the situation right.
