Uber falling apart in Lima, Peru – Uber - Request a ride Review

Geolocalization is bad in Lima. 3 or 4 times i had to walk 5 blocks to meet my driver. A number of trips cancelled because drivers use other competitors as well and they prefer to take their call instead of Uber. They complain that Uber takes a 25% cut when others take much less. It looks like some drivers are finding ways to cheat Uber policies. Sometimes, I noticed that they accept the call and they don’t move from their location for 20 minutes or more. I had to cancel and I was charged a cancellation fee. I talked to another driver and he said this is becoming a common practice with Uber drivers that just want to collect the cancellation fee and take another ride from the competition. I travel often to Lima and initially I was very happy with the service. Waiting time was about 5 minutes. Now is about 15-20 min. The other day I could not get a driver to accept my request for more than 30 minutes during rush hour. Also the app connection froze. I ended taking a cab from the street which I am very reluctant to do but I had no choice. A couple of times I got into a car with a different driver. Very worried about the reliability of the Uber service in Peru.
