Update says “bug fixes”, implements video adds in main UI – Netflix Review

Bug fixes... and a video that auto plays and makes the UI scrolling laggy so you end up accidentally clicking it. What the heck is the point...? The home screen has gotten more and more intrusive. When I open Netflix I am 99% of the time simply clicking the next episode of a show. That’s it. Why do I have to scroll past a half screen of “Voyeur” (creepy?) then tv shows, “trending” auto play video add that takes up 3/4th of screen... lagging as I scroll down. Then recommended for you!!! Before finally getting to the thing that I want, which is to watch the show I want to. Like I do every time I open the app. For all the creepy telemetry you collect, can you not have basic heuristics to present me my most common UI action? What the hell is the point in trying to help me “discover” new content, why are you obsessed with doing this when a need for it has not emerged? If I open Netflix several times in a row but watch no shows, maybe prioritize discovery. But stop cramming stuff down my throat when any decent programmer can infer I am content by simply looking at the last user interface event. Using Netflix is getting more and more annoying. The caching of Netflix episode Data is broken across not only devices, but broken across the same device even if you close the app. You still end up opening it with the stale cache data, and have to click the tiny Info circle to get to the episode list which.. still may be stale / buggy. What’s annoying is if your not sure the episode and accidentally load a stale one it now shows as 10% played and it takes precedence for resuming watching in the future. So you have to click it, scroll to the end... to get a decent UI workflow back. Once I actually play a video you then close my chrome cast pop up, to display a “play next episode” giving me no option to stop, so I have to exit the annoying popup and click chrome cast box again. Getting to listen to a stupid theme song that is 2x as loud as the show. Seriously before you add anymore crap can you just make the core use cases a bit more stream lined?
