(Not as) Horrible User Experience – Uber - Driver: Drive & Deliver Review

*** Added two stars after WAZE integration added into the app. Switching between apps is still a bit clunky, but the added ease of accurate customer pickup and more accurate GIS is worth the minor inconvenience. To earn all 5 - Stars, Uber should put more emphasis on incentives, such as stressing tipping (Suggest a tip amount -18%- to the rider, Uber! How many times per day have we driven 7 miles to take a rider 1 mile? Or loaded/unloaded groceries, walkers, wheelchairs, and had to clean up after service animals?). -Event promotions (seems like we haven't had one in a very long time),. -A better display of surge pricing (the graph displayed makes no sense at all) **Edited in light of Developer response** It's important to note that we who use this app are not paid software developers, so while the developer link is nice for providing feedback on occasion, it is not something I will use while working. I say this because the app has so many GIS problems (literally HOURLY) that I cannot take time out of my workday each time the app sends me in the wrong direction, down a dead-end street, the WRONG WAY down a ONE WAY street, off of the freeway to avoid construction that was completed more than a year ago, or down a dark alley in a bad neighborhood in the middle of the night. Developer, GIS is not your forte'. WAZE is public domain and freely distributable. The hooks are published and easily found with a simple Internet search. Not only is it accurate, it contains so much more valuable information for the driver: road hazards, speed information, police and accident information. Stuff that would take you months or YEARS to develop. You can't hope to keep up with the thousands of coders developing for every day, so why bother? I'm guessing it would take less than a day to hook your app to it. My recommendation to you as an end user of your product is to bite the bullet and switch before someone gets hurt (or worse) using the navigation built in to your app. I predict because of the reasons mentioned above, that you will anyway. Don't wait, do it now. ******* Like everyone else here, I can attest that the GIS system is crap. The maps are old, and the location services are strictly 90's when you could only get position data from 3-4 satellites. I won't complain about the company, because that would be indiscreet... it's sh1t3. I continue to drive for Uber and tolerate the app, simply because ridesharing n00bs, tourists, and your granny don't know about the other companies that they could (should) use instead. Why no app integration with WAZE, Uber? It's F-ing FREE, for Christ-Sake! I mean how f-ing stupid ARE YOU to continue to flog away at this antiquated POS, when you could have a streamlined system like LYFT and others have?
