Won't open after October 2017 update – Tiny Castle Review

After updating the app with the update released in October 2017 I can't open the app. All I see is a black screen and nothing else. I tried reporting it on Tiny Co's website, but they don't seem to have that game as an option to send a support ticket. I am using an iPod 5th generation, running iOS 10.
