Beware of fraud – Venmo Review

Completely disgusting invasion of privacy that tricks millennials and teens into thinking it’s cool to publicly disclose their financial transactions to the entire world unknowingly with exciting emojis and other gimmicks. Need US Congress to pass privacy laws that MANDATE companies to keep transactions private and confidential unless consumers explicitly opt-in, instead of the other way around. As a 25-year IT security veteran please warn everyone who uses this app that they should enable every privacy setting available and limit settings to a single bank account that is monitored closely. Otherwise It is way too easy for hackers to gain all the socially engineering information needed to easily hack accounts. In the meantime, I’m working with the FTC and other agencies to stop Venmo from these practices and I see some major class action lawsuits brewing if Venmo doesn’t wake up and change their privacy settings fast.
