Unskippable ads. Swiping is still bad. – Timehop - Memories Then & Now Review

Update: things haven’t gotten better. And now there’s more ads and some of them don’t allow you to scroll past them. Ad monetization is a lie. There will come a reckoning soon. I used to like this app, but swiping is not a good UX metaphor. Thanks to tindr, swiping is associated with yes/no questions. (Unless you're reading a book, but I think the ui design of Timehop does not evoke that metaphor enough.)
