Older software was killed without warning – Informant 5 Calendar Review

I was using the old 2.64 version (for the better part of a decade) and never even knew newer apps were out there for PI. I had no in-app warnings, no emails, no notice the app wouldn’t work after iOS 11. I see all the reviews saying Support can help retrieve it, so I downloaded 5 to use the Support feature and got redirected to a “helpful” blurb that said if you had already updated to iOS 11, your data isn’t retrievable. If it still is I would LOVE to know how, but based on your own Support info, you can’t. This is poor transition capability, poor communication, and poor customer service. A function to create a handoff document should have been made for the older software, or a way to auto-recognize and pull the old PI files into 5, even if the app didn’t function any more. I’m not really inclined to give 5 much more of a chance since the subscription would have me paying a high sum for the limited, but critical, functionality I need out of it.
