Overcomplicated (Edited Review) – Terra Battle 2 Review

This game is really fun. I have played the first Terra Battle for hour and hours. The second, this game, is just a beauty to play. It is some of the most amazing animation and beautiful artwork. More so than the original. The game play is pretty much the same, but this game is not well explained to a beginner. As someone who had plays the first game I understand the mechanics but a lot has changed. In the new Terra Battle a lot relies on gear rather than leaving up your Guardian. Hit points, attack damage and defense is all based on power and leveling of your gear. It took me HOURS to understand that. I wasted a lot of my free early signup items trying to figure how to use them. There very little explanation that tells you how to use all the items. This is what drops it down to 4 stars. The game is definitely for those who like turn based strategies. If you are one of those types who like figure out a system then go ahead. If you are the kind who just wants to mindlessly kill stuff, this game is NOT for you. In-app purchase are disabled for English version and will cause bugs if you have that feature disabled. —————————————————————— In my previous review I mentioned how items/gear was important. So I focused on leveling my gear. I found out that once you “unleash” a weapon it basically becomes useless. It changes it from a weapon that procs on mega to giga. So I leveled something stronger so I could go from using it 80% of the time to 30% of the time? Seems like a downgrade to me. The stats are only slightly better. I call it poor game design. This game is starting to be a lot less fun and a lot more complicated WITHOUT good instructions/fair warning/guidance. (Edited review and dropped from 4 to 3 stars)
