Turning into a cash grab – TALES OF LINK Review

This was one of the most generous mobile games I played, and it's given people $50 worth of hero stones (the premium currency) as an anniversary present and then gave us another $30 when the servers crashed during the new PVP event. It was very very good to its players and I was glad to give the game money due to its generosity. However, lately they've been stemming the flow of free hero stones while rushing out gacha after gacha, and units that you payed for would quickly become obsolete with the next. As a player of the JP version, I initially thought it was an attempt to catch up, but the Halloween gachas were released simultaneously and THEN rereleased again for 48 hours with a token system to get what you wanted (but you have to spend more money now!) They also released the spring-time bridal gacha without its comic and now released the fairy tale comic as a "never reissue" despite the fact that the units regularly pop up on the JP client with ample chances to try for them. I had bought gift cards in advance for the Fairy Tale gacha and was excited to spend money on it, but with all the squeezing lately and the, to be frank, jerk moves I am hesitant on giving this game anymore money. I was happy to be a paying player for a game that treats its players well and was as generous as it was, but I don't want to encourage this game to continue making moves like this and suddenly making gachas that reoccur multiple times on JP into "never reissues" to try and get more money out of their global player base instead of continuing along the path of good will that they had already established, and are now doing away with.
