Bare bones functionality – TRENDnetVIEW Review

First off, this app will beg you to rate it constantly, no matter how often you decline. It won't take no for an answer. The app works, but it's woefully short on features compared to the web interface. Missing features include: * The ability to use preset locations * The ability to adjust the pan/tilt increment * The ability to adjust video quality None of the administrative controls are available in the app. The app has odd issues with account passwords. If you use a long, secure password, the app may refuse to accept it, even though it works fine through the web interface. This seems to be some interaction between password length and choice of characters. If you can't log in, try changing your password's length. The interface can be confusing. If you want to view your camera, you need to tap the chain-link icon. That's not an obvious thing to do. Update: as of iOS 11, landscape mode is badly broken. Update: app crashes immediately at launch on iPad Pro 10.5”.
