Promising/ promise not met – Immortal Love: Letter From The Past Collector's Edition - A Magical Hidden Object Game Review

This is another game which shows promise. I've only played the free version, and it's now on my watch list. I won't buy until the price is better. Update: I bought it. But, I'm disappointed. The game has no logic, and won't allow you to do things at your own pace. For example: you see a hedge clipper. You know you need to cut the vines, but you can't do it because the game wants you to do something else first, even though it is unrelated to the clippers or vines. That type of thing happens over and over again. Then there are places you need to investigate, but they put it so close to the bottom of the page, that when you tap it, it goes to the previous scene. I needed to knock out a guard. I had a hammer, but I couldn't use it. I had to go get a spider to put on him before I could knock him out. He's out cold, but there are guards between you and the next scene. No problem, take his coat and you miraculously can walk through the guards. Must be an invisibility cloak. Hurry, call Harry Potter! Duh! I found this game annoying. I'm sorry I bought it, even at the price of $2.99. The tasks are often boring. The "stick figures" aren't stick figures, they're silhouettes. Jump back and forth constantly for virtually no reason, other than to add time to the game. Leave a cat wrapped in a net for several more scenes, even though you have a knife to free it. Etc. etc. I haven't finished it. I'm bored, so I just stopped to write this review. But, by the time I finish, and complete the bonus chapter, I found that I enjoyed it more than many I’ve played lately. Isn't THAT a sad statement! So, if you're hungry for a game to play, you might want to give this one a try. It gets better as you play. But, The developer of this game surely missed the mark I think he/she wanted to hit. Maybe the next time they will do better.
