Style, no substance – Monster Mountain Review

Let’s get this out of the way: the game is gorgeous. The visuals, the music, everything is very pleasing to senses. HOWEVER, what this game lacks is actual good gameplay. The turn based combat has been done well numerous times before, but it just doesn’t quite satisfy in Monster Mountain. It feels very automated, which, in a turn based rpg, is usually not a good thing. Final Verdict: it’s like a piece of bread with an Instagram filter; it might look pretty, but it’s still bread
