Not very functional – Family Age Calculator Review

I recently acquired the paid version of your family age calculator app. After entering the data for my family on my iPad, I went to my iPhone to download the app and view the data there. I was disappointed to find that not even the purchase was acknowledged on my iPhone. The iPhone still had the ad version of the app and no data. Is this really how it works (or doesn't work), or am I missing something?
