What is this? – BookShout: eBook & Reading App Review

I only downloaded this app because I was given a free book. When I opened the book, I had no idea what I was looking at other than a row of words that move left to right well the rest of the page did not. I could not find any information about how to use the app or what all the icons mean. I finally discovered that there is a way to read material like one normally would from a book, with a whole page filled with text rather than just seeing one word at a time. Really?? Just one word on the screen and this is supposed to be a good method of taking in knowledge? Furthermore, why would this silly speed reading setting be the default setting in what is supposed to be a book reading app? This isn't a very user-friendly app for someone who is never used it before.
