I like that it sends you a reminder to read and an email that tells you how much you read the day before but it is very twitchy when flipping the pages. It seems to not count a page if it appears you’re reading faster than it thinks you should be able to read. I actually read faster than it says and have ha to go back a page or two to get it counted. Also, maybe not an email everyday with totals. I like to read but I don’t want to be reminded each morning that life happens. Also, while book. Shout bucks are great there are so any books you can’t use then on which kind of negates earning them.

Since this is app requires reading on a screen and not a back-lot device, I was nervous I would not like reading for long periods of time. Boy was I wrong! There are so many ways to customize the reader, I’ve found my unique combination that makes it comfortable to read for hours without straining my eyes. One of my favorite features is the Dyslexic typeface. It might look a little funky but it’s really helped with my reading speed, the app can prove it!

BookShout is by far one of my favorite and most used apps. Easy to use and BookShout Bucks incentive to use toward future book purchases. Love this app!

This app is quite fun to use. I'm using it for school now, so I'm not aware of the experience of getting junk email from them. The built-in speed reader is great, and something I'm unsure other e-readers use, and the wordcount quota makes reading a specific amount of a book a real achievable goal.

I loved that I was reading and earning money towards books but then I just stopped earning money? There are no instructions for how much you have to read to earn more so I'm just confused.

The speed reader and daily word counter are truly excellent, and have revolutionized my reading rate - perfect for tearing through educational nonfiction books ( a basic economics text, a primer on middle eastern history, a biography - less for lengthy descriptive texts, like Proust). I've now encountered multiple bugs, however, that required that I delete and reinstall the app, which I've had to do six times now. A bit much.
