Bit disappointed... – Gakuen Club Review

I'm an avid reader of D3 Publisher apps and really like their stories so when I saw they were releasing new apps I was excited. I read two different routes in this app and tbh I was a bit disappointed for several reasons: 1) the overall app design is a bit weird compared to their old system, there's no FF/skip option, save sometimes didn't work, and all the downloading was kinda annoying, 2) it felt like the story quality and CG was pushed aside just for the voice acting. Like the scenario was the same for three guys where he gets a phone call but they just changed the context of it based on the guy's backstory. There was no individuality or uniqueness to each route. And I loved the art style of their games so when I saw the CG in this app i hoped it would get better as the story went on but it didn't. 3) there's zero intimacy/affection. I liked these games because they weren't just PG-13 all the time but these new apps were just too innocent (ik they're teenagers but even teenagers aren't that innocent). The story was so stuck on the guy's story that it really didn't give the opportunity for cute intimate moments to happen and didn't really focus on the relationship. Like D3 Publisher went from writing about male escorts to cutesy innocent teenage love.
