Why is 99% of the app locked? – Seterra Geography Review

Almost all of the app is locked unless you pay 1.99$. I understand that the developers would like to profit but having to pay for something as simple as the states seem ridiculous. Currently you can only do North American countries or European countries. Unless the app can include more free content I do not plan on paying for it. I would rather use the website.
