Amazing! But... – Crimson: Steam Pirates Review

Right off the bat, after the first satisfying cannon discharge, and the steampunk pirate photos, I knew I would like this game. Normally, I don't like turn-based games, but this one was an exception. The fascinating storyline and history, including several historical figures, added to the awesome gameplay. I LOVED the airships, submarines, and expanse variety of boats. Strategy was key in this game. Guns blazing could get your fleet on the bottom of the ocean. I also enjoyed the fact that there could be enemies of different nations, sometimes fighting on the same level! The storyline was truly climatic, and ended in a cliffhanger, thought-inducing, yet satisfying at the same time. Yet, FIVE years ago, there were pleads to extend the length of the game, yet the entire company has been silent. Personally, I would pay more money to access another 8-level chapter. In the end, however, this was a beautiful game. The booms, explosions, whistling of missiles and bombs, the rat-tat-tat of anti-aircraft guns, and electrifying sound of super weapons discharging, I will always love this game. I hope the company can get back to this project. -That One Kid Who Likes Well-Structured Games
