OK concept sloppily executed – Brain Gems Lite Review

Add-a-letter puzzles can be intriguing, but this effort is hampered by poor execution. Just solved one where the central array was ROUSING AROUSING SOURING--first two synonyms of one another, the outer two anagrams of one another (so the middle word was superfluous), and all three end with ING--ugh! Definitions are often marginal at best, and many of the elements are strings of words (like OR SING in the above example--another ING ending!) Seems to have been put together by folks who aren't that experienced or proficient with word puzzles?
