Great game in the style of limbo... but – Albert & Otto Review

This is an expertly crafted game in the style of Limbo (by Playdead). The challenges/puzzles are well thought out, the visuals are smooth and spot on, and it's generally really fun to play! Well done! Except... The controls in general work fine, left thumb moves the character- no problems there. The right thumb selects jump, electrify, and "let go" from the on screen buttons. Additionally, touching outside of the buttons with your right thumb lets you point the gun or levitate. So far so good, except they're often intermittent (or too easy to miss). I've gone through some levels 20 times, staring at the jump button when I hit it, only to have the game NOT jump, I die and I have to try again. Same goes with levitate/shoot. Frequently I found myself in a time critical situation where I need to levitate something, only to shoot it multiple times... and again, it causes me to die and start the section again. Which wouldn't be so bad except the sections are frequently hard, long, and time critical, and a single missed jump sends you back to the beginning of the section. Ouch. A handful of times, on the final puzzle, the game would crash to a black screen when I died, requiring a force close. It's such an amazing game, but the actual play on the iPhone occasionally made it frustrating... fix the right thumb game controls, and it's 5 stars all the way. Otherwise, you'll need a lot of patience to get through it.
