All for naught – Ortus Regni Review

I initially loved this game and rated it 5 stars. After bugs surfaced, I changed it to 4. The bugs hung a few games, an awful occurrence when you're on Round 14 and nearing the end of a game. And now, after repeated plays, I see how badly the Vikings mechanism functions. You always want to build your deck with Monks and Vassals to influence the Vikings so they will attack your opponent instead of them attacking you. They never really lose - they come back to attack every few turns. Unfortunately, their attacks are way too big a factor. And even if you have more influence than all the other players, a string of bad luck will put you on the receiving end of attacks. It doesn't work. This functions needs a major adjustment.
