I don't get it – BARRIER X Review

How is this getting reviews that are so high? I have difficulty understanding which lane the ship is in because it seems to have a "jolt" of going into the next adjacent lane every time you change. It never really felt that the ship was even really moving forward, the presentation of how the obstacles looked never made sense. I wanted to enjoy this but I never was able to really feel like I had control or understanding of the ship and obstacles space.
