Doesn't work – Premote - Remote control Keynote and PowerPoint Review

Installed Mac software and set it up, pointed to PowerPoint. I can see the notes in this app, however I cannot advance the slides with a swipe as described. iOS10 and El Capitan, will try when Sierra comes out.
