VolaTile - a memory matching game with some twists – VolaTile Review

If you like memory matching games then you will love VolaTile. Most traditional memory matching games simply require you to match tiles until you clear the board or get stuck. VolaTile adds a couple of new elements to enhance the experience: tile types and abilities. The matching in VolaTile consists of varying colors, which is typical to the genre. VolaTile adds a new dimension with tile types. There are standard tiles used for matching colors but also bomb, wild, lock, swap, locker, down and bonus tiles. The bomb tile will blow up surrounding tiles if matched to another tile with the same color. Wild tiles will match with any tile on the board. Lock tiles can't be matched until two moves have passed. Swap tiles are challenging as they swap colors if you select a mismatched tile with them. Locker tiles will lock if you mismatch it with other tiles twice. The down tile will move itself and any tiles below two rows when a new row is added so you want to get rid of them quickly. Bonus tiles give you extra bonus points when matched. All these special tiles provide an exciting extra dimension to the game. This game also has 12 abilities and you are allowed to use three of your choice with each game. These abilities range from adding a row of wild tiles (my personal favorite) to revealing all tiles on the board. Every ability has a cool down period before it can be used again so you have to be strategic with your choices! This is an extremely fun game that can be enjoyed for hours on end. At 99 cents, this game is a great deal!
