Cool when it works.... – Meter for Taxis Review

I downloaded this app in case any of my friends wanted to pay cash for a taxi but didn't want to pay too much. Uber doesn't provide for my town and a taxi costs $8 flat rate. The first thing I noticed was that more often than not when I hit "start trip" the app doesn't track my location. It behaves like I'm standing still. I have to close the app, restart it, and hit start ride again and hope it works. The most I've had to do this was 3 times. The app has permission from my settings to track my location when in use. No idea why this is happening. Also.... I drive for UberX in another town. The prices are wrong. I checked. It keeps wanting to add fees and nonsense.... If you are using the app to check non-surge prices while riding, set up the custom fare: .15c per minute, .85c per mile, $1 base. This is charged by Uber, not the driver. Out of this total, 28-29 percent goes to Uber, and the rest goes to the driver.
