Why – Logic Remote Review

Why can't the remote be compatible with all versions of logic x. I'm still running 10.0 because I don't want to upgrade and lose all of my work. Or the tools I use in my daw. If it's a free app I don't see why this it would be a problem to be compatible with all previous versions of logic x as well.
