A magnificent port with a few loose ends. – Sonic CD Classic Review

This is spot-on port, hands down. If you're looking for the best way to play Sonic CD this is the way to go! However I would like to address a few loose ends that need to be tied later on in the future. The first problem is that the D-Pad isn't the same as the Sonic 1 and 2 ports. There no way to make the as transparent as you want them to be, no way to shrink or make them bigger. I feel that this game should get the same D-Pad treatment as it's brothers. Another small problem is that on my iPad for the final boss, there are usually 2 blue lasers on each side. This happens on my iPhone but not on my iPad. Why is that? Is it a screen crunch thing? Not to mention on my phone the "cutscenes" play normally, but on my iPad I see the YouTube video HUD. Which is KINDA handy since I can replay certain moments…? Just curious. The final problem is that whenever you happen to be wearing headphones (Highly recommended btw, this game's music is amazing!) any zone in Quartz Quadrant will have the music playing mostly for the left ear, which is very, very annoying. For some reason this only happens in the JP soundtrack and not the US one. When I mean any zone, I'm talking about the past, present, and both futures. Please fix this! This zone has my favorite songs and I want to listen to them with a proper sound balance… Aside from that there are no issues to be found. You guys (and gals) did a very good job with this Port. Definitely an enjoyable game. But you know what would be the cherry on top? Sonic 3 & Knuckles and Sonic Mania ports! I think that's a great idea and since those games are legendary you guys will rake in the cash.
