This little gem by BOOLAT Games was fantastic! You could customize settings. It had an unusual storyline. It was a lengthy game, and had a long bonus adventure. The graphics were gorgeous, and different depending on which painting portal you entered. There was a journal with notes and objectives. You had a creature named Smudge to help you retrieve items; it was a cartoon creature that looked like a cross between a dog and a horse. Loading was instantaneous between locations and there was an excellent teleport map to transport you there. At each you collect slides, which later you can paint in your art gallery. This map really was essential because there is a lot of running around! Inventory was labeled, and interactive and there were plus items to assemble. You have different inventory bars to use depending on whether you are in the real world or a painting, but you don't have to worry about it because it only allows you to use the correct inventory. Placement was easy because you just have to tap the object, and then tap the area where you want to place it. You could drag it if you wanted, but tapping was easier. The HO scenes were varied, and more challenging than in some other games because you have to take multiple steps to find things. There were embedded puzzles in them as well. Not only was this an HO game, but also you get to color, so for our inner children, it was satisfying to do! There was an excellent variety of puzzles and games. You also get to create elixirs, collect magical amulets and interact with mythological creatures. The puzzles were not only boring rotational junk and there were many I enjoyed. Extras include an art gallery and a secret game. I could go on and on; the premise was different and I loved every minute of it. No rodents always a plus as well! My true rating is 4.5 stars, and only because there was a dialogue "lag" and the flow at times felt slightly off. Other than that I absolutely loved this game! I would love to see more games from this developer. Thank you, BigFish, for bringing out such great games lately! Lots of blockbusters, so please keep them coming! Also we should have at least 3 new games of this genre per week! I am quite sure many other players, especially my fabulous review team, the DTE, would agree! Kim, I am so proud of you because you stand up to the haters and are so eloquent when you do it. They do not have a leg to stand on when you get done with them. It is kind of funny when they spend their entire review complaining about us, rather than reviewing the game, and then call us delusional, or gripe when you or IZZYOC tells us what's new that we aren't aware of by other developers! Remember, knowledge is power! They should be grateful that we spend the time and the money so they get games of much higher caliber than we had 4 years ago when I created the team! I think there's a bit of a jealousy issue because they are not relevant with their one sentence reviews. According to BigFish, we have made a huge difference and if we keep on going the games will only get more incredible. So be proud of yourself, team! I am extremely proud of all of you!
