Subliminal Realms Masterpiece - certainly colorful!

The story is a little odd - artist whose paintings are coming to life - I will say however it's extremely colorful! You must collect your paint brushes and color in certain scenes. Rather like a game and coloring book cross. The artwork is superb, the HO varied and kind of tricky, but it's fun too. I deducted one star because it's very short. Do use the map (under the compass lower left) it's transporting and indicated and this game is very back and forth. As you continue through the story and are helped by a fantastic creation, you start to see the cracks in the artists psyche. Is everything as it seems? What is real and what isn't?i really wish this game was longer. I feel like we are being given a book with a couple of chapters missing. Verdict:buy

Nice and long. I went for custom; like that. Good story, complex HOS, nice transport, labeled items, bonus slides to find (hope there is opportunity after full game to find missed ones and fun game type reward for it). Also, not too many cut scenes and a cool mascot. Keep this kind of game coming!

This is the best and most creative HOP I have played in a long time. Painting pictures after you find paint brushes. HOPs are sometimes challenging. Puzzles are both hard and easy. Thank goodness it has a good map and a teleport mode. HOPs have sparkles but every thing else you have to find on your own. It was certainly long because of the challenges. Refreshing change.

I love the concept of traveling to other worlds or alternate realities, especially bizarre ones. The strange and peculiar changes in environment are enhanced through consistent nightmarish, hallucinative imagery that border on the brink of madness, such as odd looking creatures, birds, and statues; little human- robot-like figures running around kidnapping people; and a monstrous, oddly proportioned she-creature, who reminds me of a crossover between the demonic lady in "The Grudge" and the scary character known as "Slenderman." The graphics are fairly clear but could be sharper or crisper. The colors are rich in texture but are either dark and broody or bright and vibrant depending on the scene. You can customize your settings. The inventory is labeled and interactive; items require assembly. The journal records light story progression. There is a much needed back button, including in the HOS. The teleport map is a good one; in custom mode, it indicates available actions and labels locations. The HOS are interactive, varied, puzzle-like, and multilayered at times. The puzzles are varied and relative to the storyline; I love the one where you complete the sketch of Elizabeth's face. You have a collectible; they are fairly easy to spot. I did not experience any glitches yet. However, this feels like an older game due to lack of innovative creativity and the nuance of slow sensory with regards to placing or acquiring objects. I would have rated this one 3.5 stars if I could; however, since it had enough of the advanced components we desire, such as a good map, customized settings, back button, nice variety, and journal, I rounded my rating up to four stars.

Bright and beautiful. Unique hops and puzzles. I enjoyed the painting. I just finished the game and look forward to the bonus content.

Really different and totally absorbing. I did not find it short. But is was not long, kind of medium. Challenging and fun cool story. I reccomend it.

I buy every game that comes out of Big Fish and this is by far one of my favs! It's different and not the generic car crash scene at the beginning and some demonic something-or-other. It's actually unique and has all the 'usuals' like the interactive map, good minigames and a twist on most of the HO games. And the graphics are amazing! Def would play more than once, which I don't normally do, and would recommend!! Please make more!!
