Ads won't let me try it – VR Tank Shooter for Google Cardboard Review

As soon as I get my phone loaded into my VR cardboard, an ad appears and no way to exit ad when phone is in viewer. Take phone out, close as, put phone in cardboard, ad starts. Completely unusable.
