Great game, horrible QA testing for this update. – SolForge Review

I wanted to let you know that you lost a customer with this update. My friends and I have been playing asynchronous games for several years and have thoroughly enjoyed this application. But the recent update has killed any of that. Not only have you removed the asynchronous game play, which means we can no longer play against each other, your new user interface is completely detrimental to playing the game in general. The update contains so much fluff around the cards that detracts from actually playing or deck building. The cards are smaller, making space for so much useless fluff. Deck Building/inventory management on the iPad is now more like the old phone interface, which was barely useable. You've removed all of the space to view the cards in your deck and the library. The cards that do show are smaller and at the same time fewer in number. You take up 1/4 of the screen showing me my deck names when they serve no purpose being visible; whether I'm deck building in a particular deck, making a new deck or just managing my inventory I gain nothing from seeing my deck names display. A perfect example of the needless, yet poorly thought out and executed design is the tree on the main screen. It serves no real purpose, takes up 40% of the viewing area and the "animation" in it is just an insult. All you do is compress and stretch the trunk/branches to try to simulate moving with the wind. The effect fails and the amount of movement in that trunk is crazy. On top of all the movement in trunk and branches, the lanterns hanging from them don't move at all. It looks like a middle schooler learning to make animated gifs. The design team really dropped the ball here. Both in terms of their design comp and user experience. Apps don't have a long shelf life on most devices but this is one I've consistently used for 4 years. I'm sorry to see it go away as an option for me.
