Broad int'l coverage with quirk – BBC: World News & Stories Review

As an American I look forward to listening to BBC radio programming every day to catch up on international news especially European politics and broader political forces around the rest of the world. I fill in by reading using this app. I am amused by the more eccentric programming, and greatly appreciate the lack of sensationalism. The main downside for me is that I sadly notice the clear bias against certain groups, particularly Israel, not by overt slander but by the lack of context and facts, and one-sided information. This is more subtle - you have to know more about what's really going on to notice, but it is consistent. It makes me wonder if there are other countries or groups that are similarly slighted. It's always disappointing to observe this with public programming but it happens with NPR and other higher-quality public programming everywhere. But by far, BBC is my favorite.
