Gets the job done with some nice features – OverDrive: eBooks & audiobooks Review

I've used this app for years now and am happy to say that it has been continually refined to a feature-rich, relatively glitch free product now. I find the interface between the app proper and my library's online collection can still be a bit clunky, but it does handle background downloading much better than a few versions ago. (It used to be that you had to stay in the app while waiting for download). The bookmarks and sleep timer are very useful. It would be nice if the skip functions could be set for time increments rather than the chapters set by the publisher. For older titles that are converted from CD, sometimes the audiobook publishers are lazy and don't index the actual chapters of the book and instead just divide the book up by disc. So you think pressing the skip button will just take you to the next chapter and instead you go 70 minutes ahead. This is NOT the app developers' faults, but I'd appreciate it if the app were smart enough to detect 60+minute chapters and sub divide them. All in all I can say that this app works well and I use it nearly every day. So kudos to the programmers for their continued improvements.
