Gave it another go – Unforgiving Review

After updating to the appropriate version, I decided to give this game a proper review. I can see why this game is tagged as "difficult." The trick here, though, is that the game and it's levels aren't the challenging part, the challenging part is fighting against the awful physics involved. I don't understand the game design philosophy to have the player sink like an anchor dropped from a plane in a reaction-intensive, "N+"-like platformer. I don't understand the design choice making it so that the player has to be going in the direction opposite the wall to do a proper wall jump when literally any other decent game simply does it when a player is simply clinging to a wall and presses jump. That accounts for a majority of my deaths in the most basic and what should be piss-easy levels. Don't mark your games as "hard" and make the challenge lie in the handling of your own character unless you purposely build the game around that concept like in QWOP or Toribash. That's about as "artificial" as you can get with artificial difficulty.
