I'm impressed – Magimon Adventures Review

I don't ever write reviews, especially before I open the app. This game has impressed me by being something unique in our time. This may sound pretentious, but think about this: how many apps, not including Apple apps, on your device offer in-app purchases? 40%? 80%? Now how many of those purchases have a "Best Value" $100 (or your regional equivalent) option? This game offers a maximum IAP of $20. They've marketed it towards kids aged 6-8, and their IAPs reflect that. How many games out there claim to be for players of all ages but try to separate them from their or their parents' money in large amounts? This is my point. It's a market full of free-to-become-frustrated, pay-for-convenience games. I'm not pretending companies don't need to make money, as a budding game designer I know this too well, but I do believe some go about it in a more ethical way. Next time you have to either wait for 48 hours for a building to upgrade or pay $5+ worth of premium currency to finish it now, think about what it's doing. If this app ends up monetizing convenience, I'll be back with a less favorable review, but in the meantime I have high hopes for it. Thank you for reading.
