It's been 20 minutes... – Dog Mendonca Review

I love point and click adventure games. The unique comic style, action sequences/ detailed backgrounds and art are really good, reminded me a bit of the later Runaway games. I played for about 20 min and gave up. I found The questioning dialogue sections to be repetitive and random, making you guess your best choice but if your wrong you just have to keep looping through the same stuff til you find the 'right' one. The voice acting is so distracting/off/awkward. Maybe it's a translation issue? And there is a LOT of clunky dialogue, many dull sentences to comb through. And for all the beautiful backgrounds/rooms you go through, there is literally nothing to interact with. (Such as examining random objects, looking at things, funny commentary by the main character, etc, making an immersive exploring environment.). The ONLY things you can get any response from in the rooms/areas are the MAIN objectives. I paid 5 bucks and I think this is the first time I gave up on a beautifully animated , cool looking adventure game out of boredom. Maybe I missed something and it's for younger players? Sorry to be negative but I was excited and now meh. Update: I tried again, and didn't make it much further. I think what is seriously missing ISNT the writing, it's the voice acting. Also, the environment and items are 95% non-environment interactive (which is a lot of the fun with these games, you get to explore, look at things which might be random, etc) and I think buggy. You can't combine most items or try to use them on the 'wrong' people. What makes a Point n click story great is the ability to check out a lot of things, have unique and specific responses (great example is Runaway or Broken Sword series). With such great art, it just needs to be more in-depth with the character and environment interaction. And again, the voice acting is just annoying.
