App broken/failed to load map – Terraria World Map Review

The app loads fine, it fines my console (Xbox one) and connects. When I connect it shows "waiting for map". How long does it need. Left it running for over an hour still no map. Restarted phone, router, Xbox, etc. still nothing. iPhone 5s (9.2.1) and Xbox one (3/21/16) It has been like this since I download the app in December 2015.
