Is this app for real? – LMS Mobile Review

Any time I open Canvas on my phone it always suggests I download this app. After the 50th time I gave in. Under 'Find your school or district' I typed in my school's name. I get a message "There is no account with that name!!" and there's no option to search for your school. I tried it several different ways - short name, long name, included city name... If my school isn't listed, then why is there a link on it's page to download the app for Canvas? Makes no sense.
