Absolutely worthless- big piece of junk – VMware vSphere Mobile Watchlist Review

It is amazing to me that a company which has products that cost as much as VMware products cost, not to mention their huge push toward full mobile environment, that they put so little effort into creating quality apps. It's embarrassing, IMHO, and needs to be corrected immediately. Look at the fact that virtually, no pun intended, every one of their AppStore apps has between a 1-2 star rating. So, my review changes from 4 stars to negative, if available, but one since not. My Review from Several years ago: When I first started using this app I guess about a year ago, it was really fairly worthless. All you could do is take a look at virtual machines and power them on or off and see a screenshot of the console. There was limited support for performance monitoring, and the console was simply a static screenshot which required a manual pull-down refresh in order to get the vCenter Server to grab another .png and deliver it to your phone. Further, the only real “monitoring” that could be done was throwing an alert if a VM powered off unexpectedly. Now, console access is functional, the performance charts - while still somewhat limited- at least provide the most important metrics for the past hour, both for VMs and ESXi hosts. The ease of adding monitor groups is a 10 fold improvement and the task + event lists puts the finishing touches on an app that is well on its way toward becoming the SysAdmin's best friend. For the people who have these negative reviews- two things: 1. You didn't pay a cent for this app. If you don't like it, delete it. There are plenty of non-free apps you can buy to manage your virtual environment. 2. The issues with the console interaction...Google it and you'll find a KB article which tells you what YOU did wrong or have not yet DONE in order for this feature to work. I had the same problem a while back and it's a simple fix. The only problem I noticed with this release is that when reviewing event logs and choosing the filters from the top of the screen, the listView (which happens to be modal) panel gets stuck and cannot be released. At that point the only solution I have found is to kill the app and relaunch it. (It seems like it is not resigning first responder) Otherwise, this app is ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ from me all day long.
